Remembering Pearl Harbor

Since today, Monday December 7, is the 68th anniversary(if such a thing could be called that) of the attack on Pearl Harbor, I wanted to make a post in rememberance to all those who lost their lives on that day and also to those who survived and are still with us.

As you go about your day today, take a moment to think of those people who fought in World War II. Maybe take a little bouquet of flowers to your local war memorial or something in memory of those that fell and those who survived.

In memory of this day, I'd also like to thank those soldiers, these brave men and women of the armed forces who seek to protect out freedom daily, be it overseas or here at home.

As those who have been keeping up with this know, I am a particpating author in Operation Ebook Drop, where authors supply free e-books to the soldiers. We are, as of this posting, up to 303 authors and the list keeps growing. It's a wonderful feeling to provide something as tiny as an ebook to someone serving our country.

So if you're an author and who have an ebook set up for free or even if you don't but would like to, check out the Smashwords blog on the subject at: Smashwords Blog on Operation Ebook Drop and see how to get involved. It's a worthy cause.

Finally, in remembrence of the day I put up a third title into the program, and I'll list it here as well in case a soldier happens upon this and has never heard of the program. Sins of the Past on Smashwords Use the code XE37D.

Again I thank all those men and women who have served in our country's military, now and in the past.
