No more Paypal for Me

For those who have browsed my site in the past few days, you may have recalled a store site link for the books that I would sell myself. Well, this final deal with Paypal is the one that broke the author's back so to speak.

In the beginning, Paypal was a good thing for buyers or sellers and I've ignored the fees for nearly everything and the way they manage to get around refunds when they should refund but refund when they shouldn't. Today however I've had it with them and took down my store here and also the one I had on my other site.

After not doing any financial dealings with them in any great amounts for a couple months, my brother transfers some money to my account today for medicine for our mother and that's when I learn my account has been frozen. It was froze on the 8th of March and today I find out only when I try to use the attached debit card. No e-mails, no nothing from them saying that I would need to reconfirm myself.

Now they want credit cards, bank accounts, etc, etc confirmed but all that takes days or weeks to do and while this is happening my money is in limbo. They spoke with me on the phone, they could have easily confirmed that way but no! So, if they freeze an account for this stupid reason they can take their business and.... well we won't go there.

New website Up and running

My new website to promote my writing, my published novel, etc is now up and running. It has pages for the novel series iteself with links to where it can be purchased, also an excerpt for Celtic Evil: A Fitzgerald Brother Novel: Roarke as well as a page for the characters themself so readers can get to know the brothers that will continue the series.
It also has a forum, a photo gallery, a links page and it's still evolving. So please have a look.

I'm considering doing Celtic Evil in the 5.5x8.5 size which is more like a traditonal paperback but it'll depend on the cost of manufacturing as I don't want to cost the consumer too much to purchase my books.
Will update when the other two books go live on Amazon's actual site. Also will update when the version of CE that Lulu will distribuate has gone to Google Books search.

I'm debating on just getting the ISBN package from Lulu that names me as the publisher so I can work on getting my book into the other online stores and actual local places.

Books on Lulu and CreateSpace

Both titles submitted to CreateSpace are now available through the CS storefronts. Supposedly it takes about 15-20 days for those to go active within Amazon's search listing. I'll wait and see.

I have gone with letting Lulu.com publish and distribuate one title from them while the others are available through Lulu's general marketplace. There are multiple versions of Celtic Evil, including a larger size, a 6x9 size and a 6x9 hardcover edition.

I have come to understand that the markup prices will probably make it hard to sell and will probably just purchase copies myself at cost when anyone wants one.

Collection of Poems.

I decided to compile the few pieces of poems I write awhile ago together. The http://www.lulu.com/content/6293107 Personal Journey of Poems is listed at Lulu.com which can be found at the link included. I believe there are about 23 or 24 poems all together and I would like to think that a possible reader would understand some of the emotions behind them.

Hello and welcome to my Blog, A Book Lover. I am both a lover of books and also an aspiring writer. I have two things online at Lulu.com and am working on putting those also on CreativeSpace at Amazon. Need the proofs on those but my Lulu items are ready to go for readers. In fact, today I had my first download of the shorter of my two pieces.
